A Moral Victory, Sort of
Yesterday, at our company health fair, they gave away coupons for free premium salads and spicy chicken sandwiches at the McDonald's a few blocks down the street. I picked up a grilled chicken Caesar salad (good thing, as a reminder just popped up that we're having a brown-bag brainstorming session in a few minutes). I still think I should have put up more of a fight last night, when I walked away empty-handed after the clerk shrugged away as "the computer tells me" that a free salad somehow ended up costing $1.07. "What part of 'Enjoy one of our delicious salads with crispy or grilled chicken, with our compliments' do you not understand, exactly?"
